(More customer reviews)I read about this book in the Post Gazette. It was a neat article. I thought it would be great to have. A lot of the recipes have some odd combinations. You can tell it was self published. It's overpriced.

The author of this fabulous cookbook, Elsa DeChellis DiCicco, was born in Pacentro, Italy, in the Abruzzo, the pasta cooking capital of Italy. About four years ago she won a "Chili Cooking " contest, sponsored by KDKA in Pittsburgh and was inspired to compile her lifetime collection of all recipes. Already in her 90's she taught herself how to use the computer and wrote her own cookbook, Elsa's Blue Ribbon Dinners. It is standard page sized with a spiral binding, containing over 200 great recipes, arranged as a series of dinners for the convenience of the cook. It is her vision of how the individual recipes can be best presented in a complete dinner. Most are specialties and traditions enjoyed in her family for generations. Her most spectacular are the pasta recipes using Elsa's Famous tomato sauce. Whether cooking for the family, a formal dinner or for a single dish, this cookbook will serve all your entertainment needs.
