(More customer reviews)I was interested in this book because of their promotion that the meals are primarily easy, healthy and child friendly. I pretty much agree with it all. Though there are several recipes with a high spice level, there are many mild recipes like the Pesto Chicken with cherry tomatoes and Apple Cider Pork Tenderloin that my child will eat. The cookbook has many informative sections such as the contents of a well stocked pantry as well as great pictures of the whole Deen crew. The "Jack Favorites" section offers a healthy spin on child friendly foods. (I liked the idea of adding avocados to a cheese quesadilla.) Overall I found the cookbook to be well organized, informative and easy to read with uncomplicated, yet appealing recipes.
